The Greater Brunswick Charge
Doubs/Epworth, Jefferson, Sandy Hook and New Hope United Methodist Churches
Vision: We will work together – each church using their gifts and graces - for the Kingdom of God in the Greater Brunswick area, as we proclaim the HOPE worth SHARING, the hope of Jesus Christ.
Leadership:
Every other month, Pastoral leadership will rotate and preach at a different church for one Sunday. This means, you will see each of the other Pastoral leaders 3 times a year.
Primary Charge Goals for 2018
• Identify the 2-3 major gifts and the 2-3 major obstacles to growth in each congregation. This should be done by charge conference, so that we might be able to work towards remedying these concerns and emboldening these gifts in our goals for 2018.
• Identify and implement communication methods to help improve communication within our churches and across our charge, highlighting areas we can work cooperatively for the Kingdom. This includes updated mailing and email lists for each of the churches and updating membership records.
• Grow in worship – in each of our sites – by 4% by the end of 2018.
• Identify and equip new leaders in all four congregations so we can multiply the Kingdom work of God through the Greater Brunswick Charge. This includes empowering a new group of Congregational Care Lay Ministers, helping to identify spiritual gifts and graces, and mentoring new leaders.
